Carol WilliamsCarol Williams, ECEW Founder

Carol founded ECEW in the spring of 2007 as a way of meeting and connecting with other businesswomen.  The first meeting held in the summer of 2007 brought out over 100 businesswomen who were interested in building business relationships with other women.

Attendees were given questionnaires as to what they would like to see in a woman's group.  The clear answers were to meet and build friendships with area women, Carol knew then that the Mt. Pleasant area needed a group to foster needs of women in business.

Today, ECEW has a active group of over 150 members.  Events are scheduled in the morning, lunch and evening so that women can pick a time that best suits their schedules. As ECEW grows, Carol has a clear vision of nurturing present and future entrepreneurs to build successful businesses.

Carol grew up in Columbia, SC graduating from University of South Carolina with a degree in Elementary Education and continuing her education with a Master Degree from the Citadel. She and her husband David have made Mt. Pleasant their home for over twenty-six years. Carol is the owner of Southern Moon Custom Picture Framing and a real estate with The Williams Team, Keller Williams Realty.

She and David are parents to two budding entrepreneurs. Daughter, Ali, is currently a pastry chef student at Trident Tech Culinary School and is  part owner of Phylli Phlops.  Their son, Chris, heads up A Simple Tree- Artists Wholesale Framing division of Southern Moon Custom Framing.
